MY FINAL CUT MY FINAL MAG
TOPIC
Are the quality of games declining? CHOSEN TOPIC
PROJECT SUMMARY - Games nowadays consist of live service titles, massive inclusions of ingame purchases or ridiculous prices for minor upgrades or DLCS (Downloadable content).
I would want to discuss and highlight the quality of gaming from ten years ago to now from a technical and creative standpoint.
This is my chosen topic.
''''FMP PRODUCT''''
I plan to create a documentary and magazine for my final major project. I aim for my documentary to be a fun and immersive experience leaving no room for serious tones. I want to use a mixture of gameplay, reviews, expert testimonial and my own thoughts and experiences. A majority of the documentary will be a voiceover and i MIGHT involve myself in it further. I don't seek to fix the issue im discussing, instead bring light to it. I don't have an idea for the narrative or direction for the documentary so i don't have a storyboard currently.
I chose this topic considering gaming is something i'm knowledgeable on and can add my own experience with it to further authenticate my documentary. Doing this will help
- MODE- PARTICIPATORY
- GREED IN GAMING
- FUNNY - CHILL
I wanted my documentary to be interesting and make people think about what really goes on in the world of gaming. So, I wanted to mix facts with stories and make sure everything flowed well. I divided the script into parts to make it easier to follow. My goal was to get people to think about how money influences gaming and whether it's always a good thing.
QUESTIONS
GIVE ME YOUR OPINION ON GAMES THAT FORCE MICROTRANSACTIONS AND HOW THEY MIGHT AFFECT THE FUTURE OF GAMING.
WHY DO YOU THIN GAMES MIGHT FORCE THESE PREDATORY MONETISATION PRACTICes
- The second half of my final major project will be a magazine discussing the same topic and following the same footsteps as the documentary. I plan to do around 9 pages keeping it short and simple. I want to create my own graphics using shapes and maybe involving illustrator for most of my pages as they'll involve mostly text but involve some of my own captures.
